High-Performance Grooved End Check Valves for Industrial Piping Systems

Grooved end check valves (equivalent to Techno Check Valve 5103 and other leading grooved end check valves) are designed for use with Victaulic® Couplings, making them fast and easy to install, remove or replace. Our grooved end check valves are available in sizes up to 12" in Carbon Steel (Zinc Dichromate plated for added corrosion resistance), 316 Stainless Steel, Brass and Aluminum. Available elastomers include Buna N, EPDM, Viton, Silicon and Teflon. Each grooved check valve can be custom-configured with specific internal components to fit your exact application requirements.

Flow Comparison MNPTFull Port Grooved End Non-Return Valves

Our full-port, grooved-end non-return valves provide higher flow and lower pressure drops than conventional check valves. These high-efficiency grooved end valves connect easily to your piping system using Victaulic® Couplings, or equal. (Note: Male NPT version shown in illustration at right). Our elastomer hinge grooved-end check valve design takes performance to an entirely new level by eliminating the restrictive valve seat and substantially increasing the valve’s open area and flow coefficient (Cv). They are ideal for application in vacuum pumps, compressed air and gas systems, as well as in water systems where low head loss and elimination of water hammer are critical.

Frequently Asked Questions About Grooved-End Check Valves

What are the primary benefits of using a grooved end check valve over NPT or flanged options?
Grooved valves offer significantly faster installation and easier maintenance compared to threaded or flanged versions. The mechanical coupling allows for quick "in-line" service and provides a level of vibration attenuation and thermal expansion relief that rigid connections lack.

Are these grooved valves compatible with standard industry couplings?
Yes. Our grooved end check valves are designed to be fully compatible with Victaulic® couplings and other major industry-standard grooved piping systems, ensuring a leak-proof seal in both vacuum and high-pressure environments.

How does the "Full Port" design affect the performance of a grooved check valve?
A full port grooved end valve provides a completely unobstructed flow path. By eliminating the restrictive seat found in traditional valves, our design achieves a much higher flow coefficient ($C_v$), resulting in the lowest possible pressure drop and improved energy efficiency for your pumps.

Can these valves be customized for specific chemical compatibility?
Absolutely. While we offer standard materials like Carbon Steel and 316 Stainless, we provide a variety of specialized elastomers (Buna-N, EPDM, Viton, Silicone, and Teflon) to ensure your grooved check valve can withstand specific temperatures and corrosive media.
